Why BDC ?
Making the choice to attend a new studio is an extremely important and difficult decision. Read below to find out why choosing the BDC family is right for you! You will also find answers to many commonly asked questions and concerns that arise when switching
studios. If you have any additional questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Class Sizes
Our small class sizes allow our students to receive more individual instruction. It also allows our instructors to give more personal specific corrections, instead of only general comments to the entire class. This class environment ensures each and every student is working to their full potential. No matter how big our student population grows, we have a policy of keeping our class sizes to a maximum of 15 students per technique class.

Facility
Our facility has many features that make it an excellent place to dance!
1. Our location is over 4,000 square feet, houses 2 spacious studios, waiting rooms with large viewing windows, a student lounge and change room, and our own washrooms.
2. The studio is equipped with a “sprung floor” meaning it is resting on a system of high density foam to absorb shock. Our top layer of floor is a quality Rosco “Marley” floor. This is recognized worldwide as the best surface for dancers and is not used by many studios. Marley floors are not as slippery as alternative dance floors and therefore lower the risk or slips, and injury.
3. We also have a watch area for parents and siblings to enjoy while their child or brothers or sisters are attending dance class.

Fun! Fun! Fun!
From your child’s first dance class to their graduation performance, BDC has a class for everyone! We have a wide selection of classes and programs to suit every dancer including those for preschoolers, beginners, and advanced dancers. We are the only studio in Fort Saskatchewan to offer an Elite Company program for dancers who want to take their training to the next level.
All of our programs encourage dancers to do their best while having fun. You'll love seeing your child improve their flexibility, coordination, balance, memory, and performance quality while developing social skills and discipline. Although we work extremely hard in our dance classes we never forget to have fun! For more information on the programs we offer click here.

Travel
We offer a group trip to all students at least every two years. In the past we have we have had the privilege to travel to Las Vegas in 2012 to attend the Dance Power Championships, Whistler BC in 2015 to attend 5678 Showtime Nationals and the prestigious Dance World Cup, California in 2017 to attend Mather Dance Company's Trans4m as well as Dancerpalooza, Las Vegas in 2018 to attend Star Power Nationals and Niagara Falls in 2019 to attend Candance Nationals. We also had the pleasure of cruising through the Eastern Caribbean on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas in August 2013. We were thrilled to be able to perform our 30 min show "Around the World" twice while on board the ship.
We also offer the opportunity for our Elite Company students to travel each year for competitions and in the past have traveled to Red Deer, Calgary, Jasper, Saskatoon, and Lake Louise.

Fundraising
We offer different fundraising opportunities each year, however fundraising is not mandatory. Some common fundraisers we run each year are bottle drives, cookie dough, pub night, and selling calendars which feature our dancers. All fundraising is run by our not for profit parent association, "The Friends of BDC."
